New Belgium Brewing recognized as a democratic workplace


WorldBlu, an organization that “specializes in organizational democracy and freedom-centered leadership,” recently released their fifth annual “WorldBlu list of Most Democratic Workplaces™ 2011.” Included on the list was New Belgium Brewing Company with a workforce of 350 employees. In order to qualify to be on the list numerous employees were surveyed on ten principles of democracy in the workplace: purpose and vision, transparency, dialogue and listening, fairness and dignity, accountability, individual and collective, choice, integrity, decentralization, and reflection and evaluation.
